Lived in Aschaffenburg, Germany from 1973 to 1976 and lived in the housing on Steubenstrasse - Bldg 694 L-5. Remember my best friend at that time was Lynnette Woodward who lived at Bldg 695 C-5.
Also lived in Schweinfurt, Germany for about 6 months in 1979. Moved to Aschaffenburg in early 1980 and we got the exact same apartment! (Bldg 694 L-5). Went to Aschaffenburg Elementary for the last part of 8th grade. Anyone remember Mr. Schramek (sp?) and his jewelry making class? Went to Hanau High for grades 9 and the first part of grade 10.
We then moved to Wurzburg, Germany where I went to Wurzburg High for the last part of 10th grade and most of 11th grade. I am pretty sure I have a couple of yearbooks from those years. I just need to find them!
You get used to moving every three years when you are a military brat, but this was extreme!

Hello Landstuhlers and K-towners. I was in Landstuhl, Germany from 66-69 and 71-74. My dad worked at SATCOM. I went to K-town High. Friends were Jerry Myers, Joey Blavier, Ed O'neal, Jim Farnsworth, Michael Clark, Heidi H, Karen Rauh, Yvette Smith, Rueben Greer, Melody Pitts and a bunch more. I'm in China now sharing my gift of gab. haha. I'm teaching and training teachers after teaching in Southern California for 15 years.

Hi, My dad was stationed at 13th compound from 1959-'61. I went to TAS then and remember going to MAAG and staying overnight with a friend whose dad was at MAAG.

I was in 4th and 5th grades; liked Taipei very much; visited Japan. Living there was great. I still travel but will continue looking for a classmate or even meeting someone who lived there when I did.

Hi, Your e-mail was the closet to our family's experience. My dad was Capt. Merrill (USAF retired). Us 3 kids went to Taipei American School from 1959-'61. We stopped on Guam on the way over. Traveled from Hawaii to Taiwan in a four-prop plane. I remember my mom and I being in the Phillipines.

Taiwan is still a very good touchstone. If anyone was in Taiwan at the time, say hi.

It seems that the area of the world we lived in are hard to find. I have never seen anyone, but am in touch with a former classmate and a former TASer.
